The tall spires of Lupines are an intense purple, blossoms are displayed above the distinct leaflet foliage in early summer making ideal for borders. Plants grow best in a deep, rich soil, slightly on the acidic side. hybrid produces midsized stems with spikes of bicolor blooms in a combination of bright magenta-purple with an orange fleck. Prune back to 6 inches after blooming, to rejuvenate the foliage.
