A beautiful 8-10′ shrub with a slimmer width giving it an upright appearance. The leaves, flowers, and overall appearance are generally smaller than other f. tomentosum. It brightens up in fall with reddish purple leaves and bright red fruits that will change to black in color. In spring, flat flower clusters borne above stems open white and turn a deep pink. In the summer the leaves are dark green with creased veins.
