Eternal Fragrance Daphne

There’s a reason this one’s called Eternal.

Soft, pale blooms return again and again—spring, summer, and even into fall—each time releasing that unforgettable, sweet fragrance. Compact and evergreen, it holds its shape beautifully, with rich green leaves that stay through every season.

Perfect near a path or tucked where you’ll brush by, because this is a plant meant to be noticed—not loud, just steady, waiting to catch you the moment you forget it’s there.

Drought-tolerant once established. Grows 2-3′ tall and wide. Best in sun to part shade.

Eternal Fragrance Daphne is happiest in sun to part shade—morning sun with afternoon shade is ideal, especially in warmer zones. Too much shade reduces bloom, but too much heat can stress it.

Soil must be well-draining, rich in organic matter, and slightly acidic. Avoid heavy clay or areas that stay wet—Daphne is prone to root issues if water lingers.

Water regularly the first year to establish strong roots, then reduce—it’s drought-tolerant once settled. Mulch lightly to keep roots cool, but don’t pile mulch against the base.

Grows 2-3 feet tall and wide—perfect near paths, patios, or entryways where the scent can drift.

Hardy in USDA zones 6-9. Prune lightly after flowering if needed, but avoid cutting into older wood.

Patience pays off—Daphne dislikes being disturbed, but once settled, it stays beautiful for years.
